NATIONAL
We inherently connect with the AIAS National with the alignments of vision and mission. With the vision of empowering voices, ideas, and actions for future well-being, the AIAS National strives to broadly advance leadership, design, and service among architecture students.
AIAS National provides a practical path for members to learn outside the scope of our chapter. Attending National Forum, Grassroots, and Northeast Quad is a valuable and exciting experience to broaden our horizons with supportive peers and mentors.

COLLATERALS
We establish meaningful discussions and participate in the collective decision-making processes with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).

The five collateral organizations offer extensive inputs in the field of architecture with diverse outlines of how the profession carries on in practice. Partnering with them reinforces our voices in structuring the way architecture functions not only for the here and now, but also for the future.

MEMBER INVOLVEMENT
An AIAS membership helps you make progressive steps toward your architectural career's growth. AIAS grants its members the opportunity to engage with professionals in the AEC industry, compete in national competitions, act as a representing member in national committees, and more. Members are also able to participate in leadership roles granted by AIAS partners.
Furthermore, our UMD chapter grants students the opportunity to connect with local professionals and consistently engages with architectural partners in order to enhance our community's collaboration.
